operation christmas child

New Life has a team of volunteers who work year-round on gathering and organizing donations for Operation Christmas Child. In the fall, they host several shoebox-related events, and the whole church family, from the tallest to the smallest, is involved in packing gifts for children around the world.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

NEW LIFE Baptist's 2017 GOAL:

200 Shoeboxes

  • Year Round Gift Ideas

We packed almost 200 shoeboxes in 2017!  Thanks to your generosity we were able to help in a big way.  New Life Baptist is looking forward to having a bigger impact in 2018 and one way we can all help is by looking for shoebox items throughout the year.  Check back on the webpage each month to see the item of the month as suggested by Operation Christmas Child.  Thank you for helping us pack shoebox gifts that will be a blessing a delight to boys and girls.

  • Ma7 2018 Packing Suggestion: Hygiene Items

It is never too early to get started collecting for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.  We have a big goal each year, and doing a little each month helps us accomplish that goal!  For May, OCC's website recommends purchasing hygiene items.

  • General Needs Continue for Next Year's Collection

Following are some things we are collecting for our OCC church ministry:

    • Front cover of previously used Christmas with no writing front or back
    • Crocheters/Knitters - We are hoping to include prayer pockets in each shoebox this year.  If you have the time we can also use small baby blankets.
    • For the older boys and girls we would like to start collecting items for tackle boxes (fishing hooks, sinkers, bobbers, line, etc) and sewing kits (spools of thread, needles, pins, small scissors, measuring tape, safety pins, etc).
    • We will continue collection for items throughout 2018, check back each month for suggested monthly items!
